SITE HISTORY |
|
KennyFans.org was opened on July 14, 2001 as the Kenny Chesney fanlisting at my old domain, RebelDreams. I gradually added different sections to it until it was much more than just a fanlisting. I officially turned it into a total fansite for Kenny in October, 2003. The site finally moved to its own domain in February, 2005.

Version 1.0
Title: KennyFans.org
Created: February 2, 2005
Retired: November 6, 2005 |
| Details: I loved this layout for its uniqueness. Almost every Kenny fansite has a tropical theme and they all blend together in your mind. I wanted to do something different, and a comment about the video for "I Lost It" was the inspiration. Someone mentioned how odd it was to film a black and white video in such a gorgeous, colorful setting. I realized that's what makes the video stand out, so I took the same approach towards the layout. I got a ton of compliments on it so I'd say it was a success. |

Version 0.5
Title: Toes in the Sand
Created: October 1, 2003
Retired: February 2, 2005 |
|
Details: This is when Big Star really took off. When I debuted this
layout, the site was averaging about 200 visitors a day. When I closed
Big Star and moved the site to its own domain, I was averaging well over
800 a day! I left this layout up longer, by far, than any of the others.
It was clean, functional, and I got tons of compliments on it. I hated
to take it down, but the move to the new domain deserved a fresh layout. |

Version 0.4
Title: Wannabe Rebel
Created: January 30, 2003
Retired: September 30, 2003 |
| Details: I absolutely adored this layout! I loved the colors, graphic,
everything. And apparently visitors did, too, because I got so many
compliments on it. I really liked the whole "vibe" of this
version. It had been up for awhile, though, and I was getting a
little tired of it. The site needed an overhaul and the KCOFC's
fansite contest was just the motivation I needed. |

Version 0.3
Title: In Blue
Created: August 30, 2002
Retired: January 22, 2003 |
|
Details: I was very pleased with the way this version turned out. But the main graphic was so large that it was hard to navigate
with a resolution smaller than 1024x768. Still, this is one of my favorite layouts of any of the sites I've done, and I'll probably use something similar again some time, only with a smaller main graphic. |

Version 0.2
Title: Big Star
Created: May 21, 2002
Retired: August 29, 2002 |
|
Details: This layout was when Big Star really got started. I finally got PSP and learned to make decent graphics. Version 1 needed to be changed because sections of it were just too big to use tables, so this version used frames. Out of the
5 versions the site has had so far, this one has my favorite color scheme. |

|
Version 0.1
Title: No title
Created: July 14, 2001
Retired: May 20, 2002 |
|
Details: Nothing much to say about this one! It's the first version of the
fanlisting, where it all began, but that's about all. The layout was bad,
the graphics were bad, and I'm more than a little embarrassed to put the
screen cap up for everyone to see! Still, since it's the first version and
was made before the concept of fanlistings really took off, I'm secretly
proud of it. :-) |

| QUOTE OF THE MONTH |
"You don't care where great songs come from if you’re really about the songs. But I have to tell you ... it's a pretty great feeling when the song you hear blasting out of people’s car radios is something you actually wrote." -- Kenny Chesney, on the self-penned "Beer in Mexico" becoming a #1 hit.
